A.A.’s Seventh Tradition states: “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
A.A. service committees work to ensure the A.A. message reaches people who may need it. Many alcoholics first hear A.A.'s message of hope thanks to the work of the volunteers on these committees.
The General Service Office serves as a hub of communication for A.A. groups in the U.S. and Canada.
