Who are we?

Modem-to-Modem Group of Alcoholics Anonymous (A.A.) participates in the U.S./Canada general service structure through District 33, Area 58 and is registered with the General Service Office in New York.
We hold one-hour A.A. literature discussion meetings focused on the 36 spiritual principles embodied in A.A.'s Three Legacies–Recovery (12 Steps), Unity (12 Traditions), and Service (12 Concepts).
Meeting leaders read from a piece of General Service Conference-approved literature and then share their experience as related to the reading for approximately 15 minutes. After that, our meeting chairperson randomly calls on people to share for the remainder of the hour.

7th Tradition Contribution

The long form of the 7th Tradition: We are “fully self-supporting through the voluntary contributions of our own members.” If you are not a member of Modem-to-Modem, we would recommend your contributions be directed to your own home group.
This keeps A.A. free of outside influences that might divert us from our primary purpose — to help the alcoholic who still suffers. The amount of the contribution is secondary to the spiritual connection that unites all groups around the world.
